Next Step Classes
At ULC, we want to make it easy for folks to dig a little deeper, thus the next step classes were formed. Whether you’ve never heard of christianity, or you’ve been going to LCMS churches your whole life we have a next step class for you. Informative, small group discussions led by our church leaders.
The Common Cup
The Common Cup is our coffee shop with the mission to leave a mark of God’s love on our community and the world. We do this by providing a welcoming atmosphere, excellent beverages, and partnering with other local businesses. Stop by for your favorite beverage sometime soon!
An intentional gathering of 3-15 people who agree to share life together. They plan where and when to meet and arrange their schedules to be there for the purpose of being together and being formed as Christ’s disciples. They work together to live out their “sent-ness” into the world. Community Groups love God and love each other.
Seminars and group discussion on the fundamentals of faith.
We all wonder. Maybe you or a friend are curious about the Christian faith. What do Christians believe? What’s the deal with the Bible? In Alpha we gather each week for 8 weeks to share a meal, listen to a talk, and discuss questions like these. If you’re interested in learning more about Christianity join us for Alpha!
Pubology is all about public conversations on deep stuff.
Once a month we reserve a room at “The Original Cottage Inn,” grab a beer, a slice of pizza and listen to an expert present on an important cultural question. Following the presentation there’s a Q and A with the presenter and discussions at our table. If you want a safe and thoughtful way to engage the public conversations of our day join us for Pubology!
Thanks for a great year of Pubology! See you next fall! Here’s a recap of the 2022-23 Pubology topics:
Can we trust ‘the science?’
Should Faith be kept out of the Public Square?
Can we ever really understand the experience of others?
Is there a place for ‘banning’ books in a free society?

Central to our ministry is to engage the University of Michigan and surrounding universities with the gospel. We seek to be a life giving presence on UM’s campus by creating a culture of welcome, belonging, and sending. If you are a university student in Ann Arbor we’d love to have you join our community.
We are deeply invested in the next generation of Jesus followers. Whether it’s through high school ministry, middle school ministry, children’s ministry, or confirmation our goal is to point kids to the grace and love found in their savior Jesus.
At ULC, we are a community devoted to prayer. You can join our prayer team, participate in prayer meetings or volunteer to pray with with members on Sunday mornings. Have a prayer request? We want to pray for you. Share your prayer request directly with our prayer team.
If you worship at ULC and find yourself in need of care, please let us know! We want to support you, and we can’t wait to hear from you.
